SPARBER ANNEN MORRIS & GABRIEL'S specialization in Commercial, Bankruptcy
& Receivership is broad based. The firm handles all aspects of bankruptcy
matters, including the representation of examiners, Chapter 7 and Chapter 11
Trustees, consumer debtors, corporations, creditors and landlords.
The attorneys are seasoned litigators in bankruptcy having
successfully prevailed on bench trials involving preference and
fraudulent conveyance litigation, objections to exemptions,
assumption/rejection of leases and enforcement of sale agreements.
The firm has developed a subspecialty in the area of retirement
account exemptions. Our lawyers lecture extensively on the
topic of objections to exemptions in retirement accounts, 401(k)
plans and pension and profit sharing plans.
The firm also specializes in the transactional side of bankruptcy
practice. This includes negotiation and preparation of asset purchase
agreements, financing statements, security agreements as well as real
estate purchase contracts. Through its representation the firm has
been involved in consummating the closure of a significant amount of real estate sales.
The bankruptcy client base has involved matters throughout California, Delaware, Florida,
Texas and other federal jurisdictions.
We are also experienced in state and federal court receiverships.
We represent federal receivers appointed by the Federal Trade Commission
as well as the California Department of Corporations and State Court Receivers in
receiverships ranging from rents and profits to business operations.
